House Bill 239
Reduce end-of-course assessments; require testing work groups
To amend sections 3301.0712, 3301.0729, 3313.61, 3313.612, and 3313.6114 of the Revised Code to remove the requirement that students take a nationally standardized assessment for graduation, to revise the law on end-of-course examinations, to prohibit student retention under the Third Grade Reading Guarantee for the 2020-2021 school year, and to require each school district to form a work group to evaluate the amount of time students spend on testing.
